TRIP DETAILS:
Who
A handful of our favorite couples from The Great Love Gang! (Listen to the live podcast recording from our April 2016 Getaway to meet a few of our past guests.)
When
Arrive to the property after 3pm on Wednesday, and head back home anytime on the following Sunday.
Where
A luxurious ocean-front villa in PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO (all-caps necessary, and passports are required!)
Cost
$2500 per couple. Guests are responsible for their own flights, but once you make it through customs, you won't touch your wallet once!
What
The price covers 5 days + 4 nights in your own private bedroom/bathroom at a luxury villa. All meals and local transportation are included, the property is equipped with a full staff (cook/butler/security guard/driver), AND each couple will be treated to lots of extras throughout the week!
Flights
We love using our Southwest Airlines points for stuff like this... If you sign up for a credit card and start spending (AND paying off the balance as you go!!!), you should be able to earn a decent chunk of miles towards covering the flights for your trip.
Sample Itinerary:
Wednesday
Guests arrive in the afternoon/evening to fresh guacamole and margs made by our Sweet Lupita! Welcome Dinner at The Casa, followed by free time.
Thursday
Wake up whenever. Breakfast at The Casa before Coffee Chat #1. Free time (pool/beach/sun) until lunch, followed by an afternoon adventure, TBD. Casual dinner in town and then drinks/games back at the house.
Friday
Breakfast at home before Coffee Chat #2. Walk to our cabanas at the nearby (celebrity-style) beach club for swimming/sunbathing and lunch/cocktail service on the sand. Free time until Happy Hour back at The Casa. Sunset Dinner at a fancy restaurant in town. (Optional: dance party at home OR discotheque adventure.)
Saturday
Wake up whenever. Breakfast at home before Coffee Chat #3. Head to "the tiny island" for exploring (flea market, museum, wildlife, etc) and then lunch reservations along the water. Free time until dinner back at The Casa. Ending the night with a live recording of Marriage is Funny!
Sunday
Breakfast at home before bear hugs and goodbyes! Head to airport feeling rested + connected.

FREQUENTLY ASKED:
I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS… WHAT KIND OF FOOD WILL BE SERVED?
The chef who serves the property will be there to cook us two meals each day. We will be able to choose from a comprehensive menu of local cuisine at each meal, and ALL types of diets will be accommodated. You’ll have the chance to let Jessie know about your specific needs when you register.
DO WE HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL ACTIVITIES?
Nope! We’d love to hang out with you, but nothing is mandatory.
IS THE HOUSE IN A SAFE AREA?
The villa we will be staying at is settled on a residential street near two popular beaches. There is usually some light foot traffic but we will have a butler on staff to watch the entrances during the day, and then a night watchman that comes from 8pm until sunrise. We've never questioned our safety on any of the past trips, but we will always ask that you have at least one other person with you when venturing outside of the property. We’re also excited to show you around town, but you’re welcome to skip that part if you have any hesitation.
HOW WILL WE GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE VILLA?
We will book each couple a car service (depending on flights, you may be sharing with one other GLG duo) and the drive is less than 30 minutes.
CAN WE LEAVE THE GROUP TO TAKE OUR OWN EXCURSIONS?
We won’t stop you, but would hate to have you miss out on the fun! If you’re thinking that some alone time would be nice — Feel free to extend your stay into the following week… There are tons of great local hotels and vacation rentals in the area!
DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE? SPECIAL IMMUNIZATIONS?
We always recommend travel insurance for big trips, but PRAISE JESUS: No shots are needed to visit Mexico. You may have heard about something called the Zika Virus that has popped up in mosquitos from South, Central, and North America but we promise to have plenty of bug spray on hand.
IF IT RAINS, CAN I GET A REFUND?
Unfortunately, we won't be able to issue a refund for the ticket price. This trip is rain or shine (barring some sort of unlikely danger) and in the case of inclement weather, we will just buy extra snacks and bring our board games!
CAN I BRING RECREATIONAL DRUGS OR HUNTING GEAR?
NO. Don't be an idiot.
